What?

We cultivate community and networking opportunities among members and relevant organizations. We promote the advancement of scholarship and research to enhance the critical nature of summer and special sessions for colleges and universities.

Our conferences provide an opportunity for professional growth and open exchange of ideas to develop quality summer programming and academic standards. A volunteer administrative council, regional representatives, and committees govern NAASS.

Who?

Anyone involved in the administration of summertime or winter educational programs interested sharing or learning more about activities and research that support innovation and best practices in their work.

Where?

Sunday through Tuesday reservations: JW Marriott New Orleans 

(Hotel reservations must be made prior to October 14th to secure the conference room rate.)

Arriving prior to Sunday?

– Reserve your hotel for Sunday through Tuesday at the JW Marriott New Orleans. The conference rate deadline is October 14th.

– Rooms at the JW Marriott New Orleans for Saturday night are sold out. You may check local hotel availability and rates for Friday or Saturday nights through your preferred travel site. Using the commercial Marriott website for the dates needed will allow you to see which hotels have availability and the distance to the conference hotel.

Submit a proposal

Submit a proposal for a concurrent session: Share what your institution is doing—the successes and lessons learned with your colleagues. Single presentations, group presentations and panels are welcome.

Submit an Award Winning Big Idea Poster Session proposal: Based on previous conference feedback, we are trying something new this year.  Instead giving awards, we want everyone to share their award winning idea with all conference attendees.  To submit a Big Idea poster session proposal, use the link above and select Big Idea Poster Session in the drop down box on the Add Abstract page.  Poster Session Details.

New Administrator’s Workshop – A valuable opportunity for new – or almost new – summer and special session administrators to share experiences and learn together. The purpose is to provide you with an overview of summer session administration and the basic skills for success.
