Northeastern University seeks dean of summer programs
The Assistant Dean Summer Term is responsible for the successful operation of the CPS Northeastern Univeristy Summer Term Program, the umbrella organization in charge of Summer Pre-College Programs, low residency programs and academic offerings offered on-campus during the summer months for the College of Professional Studies and possibly other academic units.
The Assistant Dean Summer Term is primarily responsible for long-term planning, the development of new programs and curriculum, coordinating marketing efforts for programs, policy implementation and staffing of summer term offerings. Staffing includes, but is not limited to, faculty, teaching assistants, logistics and clerical staff of the unit. The Assistant Dean manages academic programs that meet Northeastern University’s academic and professional standards as well as summer program best practices. Program outcomes should meet particular student and degree program needs and take full advantage of summer term markets and capacity. The program is to be designed to be attractive and competitive to student populations at the graduate, undergraduate and pre-college levels. The program has a regional, national and international scope.
